‘Friday Night Bowls for Students’
Is a national pathway for all clubs, reaching out to thousands of primary and secondary students who would love to play our game. It is a chance for clubs to promote the competitions, inviting families and their communities to participate.
Primary School Competition
The primary competition is an ‘after-school’ event and encourages; school sport organisers, Years 5 & 6 teachers and parents to form teams of 3 x players … any Year / any Gender combinations. The competition is a modified form of the game playing ‘sets-play’ x 2 bowl triples. The competition encourages unlimited team entries.
High School Competition
The high school competition is organised as an ‘inter-schools’ sports activity with entries closing on the last day of Term 2.
In Term3, a ‘trial day’ in early August is organised as a team event for all students who wish to ‘have - a - go.’ Played at any one of our x 3 club venues across the region.
The Finals is scheduled for Monday Week 2 Term 4 where the 'best’ x 8 teams selected from the Term 3 trials compete for the championship.
